Hybrid Investment Program is a proprietary program developed exclusively for Union Securities' clients. Managed by Stonebrooke Asset Management Ltd. (Stonebrooke) in a discretionary manner, Hybrid incorporates both fundamental and technical analytical tools in developing and managing client portfolios.
Fundamental Analysis involves the study of the intrinsic value of a particular security, which includes examining relevant economic conditions. This involves examining the company's financial statements, cash flow, earnings and dividend potential, products and services, prospects for growth, and management talent and experience.
Technical Analysis involves the study of a company's share price performance or market action to identify patterns that can suggest future activity. Price performance is compared to a related peer group, which is then ranked versus a global equity screen. Patterns, divergences, and relative strength are all utilized in the selection process of a particular security.
At the asset class level, the overall objective is to manage portfolio risk while achieving consistent and reliable returns. Portfolio risk is controlled by imposing minimum and maximum constraints on cash, fixed income, and equities allocated for each investment mandate.
