Futures Option Contracts
Exchange-traded futures options contracts are another investment technique that is growing in popularity. Unlike equity options, the underlying asset for futures options are the futures contracts. Futures option contracts are available on most of the energy, index, currency, metal, and interest rate contracts.
Like futures contracts, commodity options are also traded on futures exchanges such as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) or the ICE Futures Canada in a similar fashion to stock markets.
